Abstract

The main purpose of this research was to describe strategies for the integral prevention of clinical pathologies and the protection of the right to mental health of children and adolescents. It was developed under a quantitative approach and a documentary-bibliographic design, based on the compilation and critical analysis of sources such as scientific research, articles, theses and refereed works. In addition, a survey was applied to minors using Google Forms, with the informed consent of their legal guardians. The results show that mental health is a growing problem that affects thousands of young Ecuadorians. Although the Constitution of Ecuador guarantees public health, there is still a lack of specific regulations to adequately address child and adolescent mental health
