Introduction: The interaction between these two variables is particularly relevant in educational contexts, where university students in health-related careers face specific challenges that impact both their financial literacy and their perception of economic well-being.
Objective: To determine the relationship between financial literacy and the perception of economic well-being in Peruvian university students of health sciences.
Methods: Basic or pure, non-experimental, correlational research.
Results: A correlation coefficient Rho=0.998 for the study variables, and a value of p=0.000.
Conclusions: The relationship between financial literacy and perception of economic well-being is statistically significant and very strong, this result underlines the importance of financial literacy as a predictor of economic well-being in this population, with relevant implications for designing specific educational and financial policies and interventions. However, it is recommended to complement this analysis with additional tests to explore possible moderators or mediators in the observed relationship.
