Public spaces, such as parks, are essential for the life of riobambeños, since they offer areas for recreation, exercise and contact with nature. However, their proper use is affected by the lack of culture of some visitors who, accompanied by their pets, contaminate the environment with feces, damaging the image of the place and endangering the health of those who frequent it. This study proposes alternatives for the proper management of canine feces and seeks to raise awareness of the risks of transmission of parasitic diseases. Through a cross-sectional descriptive design, surveys and interviews with visitors to the Guayaquil park, it was found that there was evidence of poor management of excrement and lack of knowledge about its consequences
