Abstract

The oral cavity is a favorable environment for the increase and multiplication of bacteria. We must take into consideration that a patient can be a carrier of any infectious disease, making it necessary to take all necessary precautions; It is important to have knowledge about the disinfection processes for dental impressions, to avoid the presence of infections in the dentist's work environment.
For the research, a survey was used that was given to general dentists with experience in the use of impression materials.
The process of taking and handling dental impressions must be an unavoidable protocol
